My Killer Sinus Infection

So, I am experiencing my first sinus infection and let me just say that it is completely kicking my butt. It's awful!

It all started Monday when I woke up. I could feel that something was wrong and I had no idea what it was. I knew I wasn't myself and I was an emotional mess (which I always am when I'm sick. I pretty much cry whenever anyone asks me if I'm feeling sick). That night I had an appointment with my personal trainer and I told him that I felt like I was getting sick. He didn't seem to care and handed me one of the toughest workouts ever! The next day I woke up sore and achy. I was definitely sore from my workout, but I was achy from something else. Work was rough that day and by the afternoon I felt like I had a fever. Wednesday and Thursday went the same, but this time with a headache included. It was really weird because my body was covered in goosebumps, but my head was on fire. I tried really hard at night to break my fever and just when I thought I had, it came back. So, Thursday night I called my mom for some advice. Mom's are so great for that. :) When she discovered that I had had a fever for days she said I needed to go to the Dr. I was able to get an appointment at 8 am on Friday, which I was grateful for. I woke up Friday miserable and then discovered that my eyes were swollen (they were huge)! I went to the doctor and they diagnosed it as a sinus infection. I went to work that day as I had all week (things are too crazy to take a day off) and many co-workers commented on my puffy eyes. I was totally embarrassed. So, I went home Friday and have spent the last 2 1/2 days in bed. I've done nothing but sleep, eat, watch some TV, and talk on the phone (to Brian, who been really great all week).

Anyone else ever had a sinus infection? What did you do to make it better? I think I need some tips. I feel like I've been down for the count all week because of this and I don't really like it.

What an exciting life I lead, right? I actually want to post about my Easter weekend, but the pictures are on Brian's computer and his Internet has been down for over a week. Hopefully, I'll be able to post this week. Fingers crossed.
