Music and Football

Sheesh, am I ever going to get this blog caught up?

Back in October Brian and I had a fun filled weekend. We started it on Friday going to a concert at the Greek Theater. We saw The Bangles and Heart. It was so much fun and at a beautiful venue. We took a yummy picnic dinner of Italian sub sandwiches to eat on the grounds before. Here are some pictures from the show.

Okay, so I think these women are in their 40s, but they can still rock it. I was impressed and loved Walking like an Egyptian. He he.

Heart was amazing! I was blown away and I didn't know I knew so many of their songs.

Ann Wilson has quite the stage presence. I really enjoyed the show!

After we got home, Brian and I had cannolis that we got from the place we got our sandwiches. It was so yummy!

Sorry I look a little gross...it was late when this was taken.

Saturday: USC FOOTBALL DAY!

Most of you know that I love football, have since I was little. My dad graduated from USC and I grew up attending games in LA and I loved it! Since my parents got season tickets this year I decided that it had been too long since I had been to a game, so I convinced Brian he needed to experience a USC game at the Coliseum!

It was a gorgeous day! We met up with my parents and Aunt and Uncle at a parking garage not too far from the stadium and we then headed to a nice buffet lunch at the Galen Center. Lunch was yummy. We then walked around campus and enjoyed all the other USC fans.

Here's Brian and I in front of Tommy the Trojan statue! We were decked out in our Cardinal and Gold that day!

When it got closer to game time, we headed towards the Coliseum where we watched the players head to the locker room and we won some gifts at some of the tailgating booths. Here's a picture of the front of the Coliseum!

After loosing Brian when we entered through the gates, he went up to our seats and took this picture. Don't worry...I was searching frantically for him at the gate, trying to figure out how I lost him! It was a little scary!

Yes, we really were that high up! Ha ha. We were in row 93 out of 95. It was funny!

I think this might be one of my favorite pictures of Brian and I. I think we look so happy! I am holding up the USC "V" for Victory (not a peace sign, in case someone was wondering).

This was our view of downtown LA from our seats. Not bad, eh? Plus are seats were in the shade, which was great!

USC played Oregon State that day, which I was a little worried about since we lost to them last year, but I knew it was going to be a good game. Here's the opening kickoff. I was so pumped!

My family had great seats down closer and since there were 2 open seats next to them, they called us down. We watched the whole 1st quarter from our seats and then moved. We got to be much closer and took some better pictures.

It was such a great game! We did really well considering Oregon State has the Rogers' brothers, who are fast little runners. USC won the game. Below is a picture of the final score!

Since the Coliseum is packed during the game, we hung around for a while afterwards. We stayed in the stadium and went to watch the band play. I love the USC band. When I was little I always wanted to play the cymbals in the band.

It was such a great day. I got to be with family, and I'm so glad that I got to share USC football with Brian. I think he had a good time too. :)

Boy were we tired after the weekend, but it was so worth it.

Oh yeah...Brian took some really great videos from the day, but for some reason I couldn't get them on here. After 30 minutes of trying 1 I gave up. Sorry!
