More June Visitors

My parents finally came out to Salt Lake to visit me. I don't think they had been up here since I graduated from college, although not that much had changed.

I got to show my parents where I live and work and some of my favorite places. I also shared my favorite places to eat. We ate at Cafe Rio, Great Harvest, Texas Roadhouse (yeah I know that's chain, but I love it), Cracker Barrel (my parents love it), Noodles and Co., and then The Roof. It was a busy weekend of eating. I may have left something out.

Anyway, to start out the trip my parents brought me a Birthday Present. My birthday was like 3 weeks away at the time, but they wanted to give me this gift in person. Boy was I excited. I love my birthday!

Here I am unwrapping...

Holy cow! It's a super cute purple Coach purse! I was so excited!

We did some fun stuff together, but one of the highlights was going up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Silver Lake. Now, I'm not one for the outdoors, but my friends convinced me that I would enjoy doing this. I had actually planned to bring Brian here, but because it rained the whole weeked he was visiting, we didn't make it. So, it was perfect weather the weekend my parents came we decided to take advantage. It was beautiful! Here are some pictures that may not do it justice!

My dad and I

Me and my mom. I'm not sure why her mouth is open. :)

Here's the lake

We stopped on the way back down to get a picture of the river. It was pretty.

This is Solitude ski resort. It was also on our way back down the canyon. It looks like a fun place to stay, although I'm not so sure about staying there in the winter with all the snow!

It was a fun weekend and I'm glad I got to spend time showing my parents around. I have missed them!

Hey, so great that your parents came out! Looks like you guys had a good time. I miss them. Tell them some day I'm coming at 7am to give them their early morning wake up call.
