Easter Weekend

Hooray, I finally have pictures from Brian from when he was in Salt Lake 3 weeks ago. We had such a fun weekend. We spent Saturday up in Park City, where we walked around historic Main Street. There are tons of cute shops and art exhibits. It was a little chilly, but no rain or snow.

We met some bears...some nice, some not!

Here we are with some of the mountains in the background. It was so gorgeous up in Park City!

That night we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, The Old Spaghetti Factory. I love that place. It is so yummy. We were going to go bowling afterwards, but there was a huge wait, so we decided to play around in the arcade instead.

We played some ski ball!

Brian rocked at basketball.

Even though I lost the air hockey match, I still look good! :)

We raced cars and motorcycles!

It was a fun night and we won lots of really cool junk!

Easter Sunday!

I decided to go all out for Easter dinner. I don't like pork and I know ham is the traditional Easter dish, so I decided to make a pot roast instead. I went out and bought a crock-pot and found a recipe in Erin's cookbook. I decided to make potatoes and carrots too, but not in the pot roast. I made funeral potatoes, honey glazed carrots, Rhodes rolls, and a cranberry salad.

Here's a picture of Brian and I after church. Don't we look good in our church clothes?

Here's a picture of me with all the food! Yum! I made Brian carve the roast.

Brian wanting to just eat it all! Brian is thinking he likes it!

Dinner turned out so good. It was the best pot roast I've ever had! I was so proud of myself!

This last picture of Brian has a story that goes along with it. Brian is a HUGE fan of NCAA Men's basketball and March is his favorite month because of March Madness! Brian decided to include me in on the fun and had me fill out a tournament bracket. Then we decided to make a bet. I'm not sure why I bet against him because I know nothing about basketball or the teams that were competing, but I bet anyway. If Brian won, he wanted a certificate stating that he was the winner. This is Brian with the certificate I made him because yes, of course, I lost. Oh well. It was fun to play. Brian and I also entered a tournament challenge at my work. Brian made all the picks and I put up the $20, and we ended up winning the whole thing. We won $200!
Well, there's the breakdown of our weekend. It was so much fun!

Here's a tip from my mom. If you ever end up marrying a basketball fanatic, don't schedule your honeymoon during the NBA Playoffs. :)
