Best Concert Ever!

So, like 3 weeks ago I had the privilege to go and see my favorite band perform. Now, I never thought this would happen in my life time, seeing that the last time they toured, I was a year old. Here are the details from that amazing night.
My roommate Hayley and I drove up to Los Angeles to head to Dodger Stadium. We stopped for lunch in Hollywood at a place I had heard lots about: Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles

Here I am in front of the sign. The food was really good. Hayley and I ordered their famous fried chicken and waffle. It was definitely an experience. Plus, we both got to see the "Hollywood" sign for the first time.

Anyway, on to the concert...We arrived at Dodger Stadium and got ready to head in. I've included a picture showing my excitement for the concert. I loved my life!
I also love how the parking permit showed up in the shot. Oh well. We took another picture but I didn't like it as much.

So, my tickets were pretty good and once we got situated, the fun began. The opening, opening act was Fiction Plane, a rock band from the UK whose front man is Joe Sumner, now this might not ring a bell yet but it might a little later. Their lyrics were good as was their sound. I was excited to finally hear them because I've known Joe was in a band for sometime.

The actual opening act was The Foo Fighters, and let me tell you...they were so great. Dave Grohl was all over the stage and even ran through the crowd on the floor. I was truly entertained. They sang all their great songs, including my favorite "Everlong". Now I was definitely pumped up!

Now, it's dark outside and the stage lights come on. I found myself on my feet screaming!!! Out walks the guys, Stewart rings this large gong they have behind the drums; now two notes in, I recognize the song. Tears start streaming down my face and the lights spotlight the 3 men and it finally sinks in that I am seeing "THE POLICE"!!!!

Seriously, I love my life. I was totally rocking out and let me just say that Sting (Gordon Sumner, you recognize the last name?) is GORGEOUS! I was totally ridiculous and screamed several times, I love you, though I'm sure he couldn't hear me. My roommate got a kick out of it. But wow, seeing him again (I saw him on his Sacred Love tour in 2004) was absolutely wonderful! They played all their popular songs including my all time favorite "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic." It was so great just being in their presence. I was able to appreciate each member of The Police as I watched them perform their talents. It was seriously a dream come true. I kept repeating to myself all night that this was a once in a lifetime thing for me, and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to go. THE POLICE ROCK!!
In case you didn't recognize it...Joe Sumner, the singer in Fiction Plane is Sting's son.
